The historic center of Rimini awaits you for the characteristic markets throughout the month of December and until the Epiphany.
The streets of the historic center will be decorated and you will be able to find typical handicrafts, decorations, sweets and many more original gift ideas for Christmas 2021.
The Sand Nativity Scenes
At Christmas, the tradition of nativity scenes cannot be missing.
You can admire many of them in a path between artistic, multi-ethnic and maritime representations, but the most spectacular are undoubtedly those made by sand artists, who pay homage to Christmas in the typical spirit of the seaside city.
With the new Parco del Mare, until 9 January, it is possible to admire the giant sand cribs, in Marina Centro, on the free beach of piazzale Boscovich, and in Torre Pedrera, at Bagno 65, in a setting with life-size sculptural groups in an unprecedented path created by sand artists.
In Marina Centro, on the other hand, the visit to the Nativity scene is guided. Visitors are taken on a journey through history, culture and art.
The Christmas Markets
The tradition of the markets, wants to start with handmade products by Matrioska designers: an appointment for those in Romagna who produce unique pieces with their own hands in the new wing of the Luigi Tonini Museum.
From 1 December the Christmas Dream Market is open in Piazza Cavour, in the heart of the historic center, the traditional wooden houses host the master craftsmen, who exhibit their handcrafted proposals and typically Christmas products among Christmas trees, Fellini and circus graphics and a French carousel.
The historic center is also animated by the markets that begin in December starting from the December Sunday Fair, on the two Sundays before Christmas, followed by the Christmas Tree Fair: from 11 to 24 December at the Tiberius Bridge, where you can buy real Christmas trees and Christmas plants.
And again the Christmas Fair in Piazza Tre Martiri, where the traditional, rich Christmas market takes place with the sale of typical handicrafts, decorations, sweets and original gift ideas.
To finish with the Christmas Fair in Corso d’Augusto and via IV Novembre, the Christmas market takes place in the heart of the historic center with stands of typical handicrafts, various objects and gift items.
By the sea with Christmas shopping
In Miramare the Christmas village in via Oliveti lights up with lights, decorations, nativity scenes and the house of Santa Claus immersed in a characteristic Christmas wood.
The Christmas Village also lights up in Viserbella, on via Porto Palos, while in Rivabella, you can find the man-sized sea crib with the clothes sewn by the local ladies will be set up in piazzale Adamello next to the traditional Santa Claus house.
Finally, in Viserba, in Piazza Pascoli, we celebrate with the market of typically Christmas products and the Village of Santa Claus and the Elves which on weekends and on holidays, offers entertainment, music, dance and comedy.
